DEFINITION			A News Item is a factual text which informs readers of daily newspapers about events of the day which are regarded as newsworthy or important.
COMMUNICATIVE PURPOSE				The Communicative Purpose of News Item Text is to inform readers, listeners or viewers about events of the day which are considered newsworthy or important.
GENERIC STRUCTURE (Text Organization)	NEWSWORTHY EVENT(S) : Recounts the events in summary form.
	BACKGROUND EVENTS : Elaborate what happened, to whom, and in what circumstances.
	SOURCE(S) : Comments by participants in, witnesses to, and authorities expert on the event.
LINGUISTIC FEATURES (Lexicogrammatical Features)		1.     Informasi singkat tertuang pada headline. 2.     Menggunakan Action Verbs (material process) to state what happened. 3.     Menggunakan Saying Verbs (verbal process), seperti: say, tell, explain, elaborate, promise, dsb. 4.     Menggunakan Adverbs (kata keterangan), seperti: badly injured, the most beautiful bride in the word, dsb.
