asked PT. Suram Abadi to be closed soon. It is said that the factory has
polluted their river with its poisonous chemical waste. The water of the
river could not be used. The inhabitants threatened if the factory was not
closed soon, they would burn it.

An environmentalist reported that the
effect of water pollution had caused skin disease for many children because
they liked swimming in Segoro Madu river. He also said that some women felt
sick because they were very sensitive with bad smell and many fish were
poisoned. Finally the water could not be used.
